Ozone injection will cure sciatica

Sciatica – an inflammatory process of the nerve bundles of the spinal cord – can be the result of an infection, osteochondrosis, or damage.

In most cases, competent treatment of radiculitis allows you to completely get rid of the manifestations of the disease, to achieve a stable remission. However, in some cases, the fight against sciatica does not lead to the desired result – drug treatment and physiotherapy do not give an effect, there is a need for surgical treatment.

Meanwhile, scientists from the University of Frankfurt in Germany have developed a new technique that will eliminate pain in the back, significantly improve the quality of life of people suffering from radiculitis.

Three hundred and thirty patients diagnosed with radiculitis took part in a study organized by experts, all previous attempts to treat sciatica did not give a stable positive result.

Some time before the start of the study, scientists developed a substance consisting of a mixture of ozone and anti-inflammatory steroid drugs. Then the patients were injected into the affected area.

Six months later, more than thirty percent of the study participants reported that they no longer feel pain in the previous area. In another thirty percent of patients, the frequency of pain was reduced to one attack of soreness per day.

Further research on magnetic resonance imaging showed that those participants who felt relieved, the focus of inflammation was reduced by about ten percent.
