Back pain is a fairly common occurrence in the life of each of us. Hundreds of medical and paramedical studies are devoted to this problem, however, doctors and scientists can not come to a unified point of view about the true origin of these pains. They are associated with infringement and inflammation of the spinal nerves or roots, hypothermia or drafts, awkward movements or heavy physical exertion, viral or infectious diseases, and so on. However, only based on the diagnosis, the doctor should prescribe the appropriate treatment. That’s where the dog is buried! What to appoint if there are many reasons, and all of them are conditional? Apparently, therefore, there is no single point of view on any one medicine or method of treatment. Here are the most common diagnoses doctors make for back pain: spondylarthrosis, spondylosis, fixing hyperostosis, sphenoid vertebrae, non-fusion of arches, transitional vertebrae, vertebral hemangioma, options for the width of the spinal canal, cartilage sacralization, slight asymmetry of the half of the arches. These diagnoses, as a rule, are based on the findings of radiologists.
Others attribute the appearance of back pain to a sufficiently large system of connective tissue directly related to the spine. The pain occurs precisely in the soft paravertebral tissues, which include muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia. Why soft? Because these tissues are mainly composed of water, and it is impossible to find out anything about their condition from the radiograph. In such cases, the diagnoses made by doctors when explaining back pain are as follows: soft tissue rheumatism, muscle rheumatism, rheumatic myalgia, myositis, fasciitis, myofascitis, fibrositis, fibropatic syndrome, myopathy, fibromyofascitis, tendinosis, myotendinosis, tendonitis, …
But this book is about osteochondrosis.
What position of doctors does this medical term refer to?
And to the first, and to the second, and to the third. And what is this third position?
In recent years, thanks to my own medical practice and the very investigation of the causes of back pain, I began to lean toward this third position. Although my explanation does not really fit into a purely medical one.
Osteochondrosis is not a disease. This is a retribution for misunderstanding and ignorance of one’s own organism. What does this definition include? To medicine? To philosophy? To religion?
Since I began to study the physical structure of man, I began to think about the soul. Who are we? Why do we, created “in His image and likeness”, suffer from osteochondrosis and cannot cope with back pain without pills!
The number of painkillers for back pain is growing, the number of recipes for traditional medicine is multiplying. Apparently, because the immediate elimination of back pain by most experts was considered a cure for osteochondrosis. And although relapses occur in the future and people experiencing them are forced to wear various kinds of corsets and follow the recommendations of doctors to limit physical activity, for some reason the majority began to like this approach to business. But do not you want to get rid of these pains forever?
My practice, and especially when working with older people, proves: everyone has a desire. The more a person lives, the more he wants to live without compromising the quality of life. Pills are able to drown out the pain only for a while. Moreover, there comes a time when the tablets no longer help, although their number is growing. I want to live! But how? I recall one of my 82-year-old patients who was brought to me, because on his own he moved with great difficulty. Former professional athlete-skier for a long time told me about his life. I, as I could, reassured him, tried to find a program for at least partial recovery, which included exercises on special simulators. Alas, he could not do any of them. Saddened, he asks me: “Why did this happen? Why am I so weak? ” – “Because you have no more muscle.” “But I’m an athlete!” Professional skier! Why did my muscles disappear? ” “Because you have long stopped skiing.” He cried. He understood this diagnosis of mine. My third position.
