It is a method of electrotherapy: exposure to the human body with sinusoidal modulated currents. These currents activate metabolic processes and blood circulation in human organs and tissues. If the source of pain is located deep in the body, then this method of treatment has an analgesic effect. Also, with intense exposure, it causes the process of activity of particles of the gray mass of the spinal cord.

The impulse therapy method (or SMT) refers to physiotherapeutic methods of treatment . Its essence lies in the impact on the body of alternating sinusoidal currents. If necessary, the use of drugs is added to SMT, which greatly enhances the effect of the procedure. The action of sinusoidal currents is directed to deep tissues. Amplipulse : principle of operation
Amplipulse is carried out by a special device that generates small currents of low and medium frequency, which stimulate problem areas of the joints and back.

The procedure is prohibited for psychosis, acute diseases of the internal organs, multiple sclerosis, arterial hypertension (grade 3), infectious and inflammatory skin diseases, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, thrombophlebitis, intra-articular fractures, bleeding disorders and bleeding, oncological diseases, as well as in the presence of pacemaker or individual intolerance to electric current.
Features of the amplipulse
The patient is sitting or lying down. The doctor uses the method of palpation to locate the most painful points. One of the plates is applied directly to the epicenter of pain, and the other is applied either from the opposite side (transversely) or in parallel on the same side (then the distance between the plates should correspond to the width of the electrode). To fix the plates, a rubber bandage is used.
Next, the impact on problem areas of alternating current (frequency 5-10 kHz) begins. The strength of the electrical impulses is increased until the patient has a feeling of light shocks or vibrations. The duration of the procedure is 10-25 minutes, the frequency is every day or every other day (in some cases, if the pain is very severe, an amplipulse can be performed 2 times a day). The course of treatment consists of 6-12 procedures.
The therapeutic effect is achieved by the accumulation method and manifests itself closer to the end of the course of treatment. For a more obvious result, ultrasound treatment, paraffin or ozocerite applications and magnetotherapy can be connected.
